Fourteen suites across the main house and the Strathcona Lodges, each between 75 and 148 square metres, individually furnished with period features, original fireplaces, parquet floors, and a generously stocked honesty bar. The mansion house suites each occupy their own wing, breakfast arriving at whatever time suits and dinner served by candlelight in your private dining room each evening. The Strathcona Lodges have private walled gardens with hot tubs and fully stocked kitchens for those who want more independence. Walking trails run directly from the house into the Stac a'Chlamhain woods and up toward the Pap. The Lost Valley, one of the finest walks in Scotland, is ten minutes by car. Fort William is thirty minutes away. There is no spa, no pool, no restaurant to book. What Glencoe House offers instead is privacy, space, one of the most dramatic landscapes in Britain, and the particular pleasure of a dinner that arrives by candlelight without requiring you to leave the room.
